Fill Philly Fridges

Across the Philadelphia region, 1 out of every 10 households lacks access to affordable, healthy food on a consistent basis; that means that almost 250,000 people in Philly lack access to nutritious food to live a healthy life.

But why is food access a problem in the U.S.? After all, around 4 billion metric tons worth of food is produced each year — that's enough food to feed everyone on the planet. 

However, almost 1/3 of that food goes to waste each year.

How can you help? 

Join us as we gather at Dare to Imagine where we will make sandwiches and sort donated and rescued food that we will then use to fill local community fridges.
